Onboarding and Resource Management

The period between signing a contract and the first genuinely productive working day shapes long-term retention more than most organisations realise. I take responsibility for this process so that it runs according to a plan rather than to circumstance.

Technical setup: The infrastructure is ready before the first day begins. Hardware, email accounts, software licences such as Adobe Creative Cloud or ERP systems. Someone who can work from day one does not spend their first week chasing access or waiting for someone to sort out their login.

Settling-in support: New colleagues need orientation, not just documentation. In the first weeks I am the point of contact for organisational and process questions, help with navigating the team structure, and offer a clear picture of how things actually work in practice, not just how they appear in the handbook.

Resource management: Licences cost money, and they continue to cost money when no one tracks them. I manage software resources across the full employee lifecycle. That includes structured offboarding: access is deactivated promptly and licences are released. Lower costs, better security.

Process documentation: What works gets written down. The result is a company-specific standard that can be repeated without starting from scratch each time. The HR function is relieved of recurring work, and institutional knowledge stays where it belongs.
